Privacy notice
How Taxwick Accountants Limited collects, uses and protects your personal information.
Last updated: 5 October 2026
Who we are
Taxwick Accountants Limited is the controller of the personal data described in this notice. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 17488123, with our registered office at 43 Netherpark Drive, Romford RM2 5RJ. You can contact us about anything in this notice at info@taxwick.co.uk or on 07876 298650.
What we collect
- If you make an enquiry: your name, email address, phone number and whatever you tell us about your business or circumstances.
- If you become a client: identity documents and the information we need for anti-money laundering checks; contact details; your financial, tax and business records; tax references such as your UTR and National Insurance number; and bank details.
- If we run payroll or CIS for you: details of your employees or subcontractors needed to pay them and report to HMRC.
How we use it, and why we are allowed to
- To answer your enquiry, because we have a legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
- To provide the services you engage us for, because it is necessary to perform our contract with you.
- To meet our legal and professional obligations, including identity checks and record keeping under the Money Laundering Regulations, and the requirements of our professional body.
- To tell clients about relevant deadlines and tax changes, because we have a legitimate interest in keeping clients informed. You can ask us to stop at any time.
Who we share it with
We only share your information where it is needed to do our work or where the law requires it. That can include HMRC, Companies House and the Pensions Regulator; the software and cloud providers we use for accounting, payroll and secure storage, who act on our instructions; our professional body and insurers; and law enforcement agencies where we are legally obliged to report. We never sell your information.
Some of our software providers may store data outside the UK. Where that happens, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contract terms.
How long we keep it
If an enquiry does not lead to us working together, we delete your details within 12 months. Client records are normally kept for seven years after our engagement ends, so that we can meet tax, anti-money laundering and professional requirements. After that they are securely destroyed.

Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or transfer it to someone else. You can also object to us using it on the basis of legitimate interests. Some of these rights are limited where the law requires us to keep records. We will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
